TurtleBot3 Burger is Robotis’ small, low-cost robot built to teach ROS navigation and SLAM without needing a large-robot budget — a differential-drive base with a 360° LiDAR, an IMU, and precise wheel encoders, at 138 x 178 x 192 mm.

The mechanism

Two continuous wheel joints are the robot’s only actuated degrees of freedom — a straightforward differential-drive base. A rear caster, the LiDAR mount, and the IMU frame are all fixed reference points with no motion of their own.
