Privacy Policy for ARMOR (Augmented Reality Mobile Robotics)
Introduction
This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which the ARMOR (Augmented Reality Mobile Robotics) mobile application (the "App") handles user information. This App is owned and operated by DCDC LLC, a sole proprietorship. This policy reflects our commitment to user privacy by minimizing data collection and ensuring that your data remains under your control.

1. Data Collection and Handling Summary
Camera Usage and Augmented Reality Data (RealityKit)
- Function: The ARMOR app uses the RealityKit framework to access your device's camera for the purpose of generating an augmented reality (AR) scene.
- Local Processing Only: All camera data (images, depth maps, video streams) required for AR rendering is processed exclusively on your device.
- No Transmission: Images and camera data are NOT transmitted to DCDC LLC or any third-party. We never receive or store this data.
User Data Storage and Persistence (iCloud, CloudKit, SwiftData)
The App allows you to save and synchronize your user-generated data (e.g., scene configurations, robot settings) across your devices using Apple's native services.
- Frameworks Used: The App uses iCloud, CloudKit, and SwiftData.
- Data Isolation: Your user data is stored in a private CloudKit container linked to your personal Apple ID. This storage is managed by Apple.
- Developer Access: DCDC LLC has NO access to the content of your private CloudKit container. The data is maintained and secured by Apple, and the developer cannot view or retrieve it.
- No Personal Identifiers: We do not collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers within the App itself.
Analytics and Third-Party Services
- Analytics: We do not use any third-party analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase). We only receive aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics and crash logs provided by Apple (App Store Connect), which are not tied to any individual user.
- Third-Party Disclosure: Since we do not collect personal data, we have no personal data to sell, rent, or trade with any third party.
2. Legal Bases for Processing (For GDPR Compliance)
For Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, and Switzerland, DCDC LLC must have a legal basis to process personal data. Since we do not collect or process any identifiable personal data, this section primarily confirms our approach:
- Data Minimized: The App is designed to require zero collection of personal data by the developer.
- Legal Basis: Any technical data received from Apple (like aggregated usage data) falls under the legal basis of our Legitimate Interests—specifically, the need to maintain, update, and improve the App's technical performance and fix bugs.
3. Your Rights as a User (GDPR and CCPA/CPRA)
Even though DCDC LLC does not possess your personal data, we recognize your legal rights regarding any data that might exist. For data stored in your private CloudKit container, these rights are managed directly through your Apple ID and Apple's terms.
EU/UK Users (GDPR Rights)
You have the right to request access to any personal data we may hold, to have it corrected, deleted ("Right to Erasure"), or to restrict its processing. Since we do not store your data, exercising these rights involves:
- Data Access/Erasure: Your user-generated data is stored in your private CloudKit container. To delete this data, you must either delete the data within the App or delete the App's data from your iCloud settings.
- Lodging a Complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country regarding data protection.
California Users (CCPA/CPRA Rights)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete, and the right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Since DCDC LLC does not sell or share any user data and does not collect personal identifiers, these rights are affirmed:
- Right to Know/Delete: Your primary data is stored in your private CloudKit container, controlled by your Apple ID.
- Right to Opt-Out: An opt-out is unnecessary, as we do not sell or share personal data.
4. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided us with any personal information, please contact us immediately.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
DCDC LLC reserves the right to update this privacy policy at any time. When we make changes, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page and post the new policy on the App's website: www.dc-engineer.com/armor. Your continued use of the App signifies your acceptance of these terms and any future changes.
