The LR Mate 200iD is FANUC’s best-selling compact 6-axis arm — a mainstay of small-parts handling, machine tending, dispensing, and assembly lines worldwide. It’s a genuinely vendor-published description — this gallery entry links straight to FANUC’s own GitHub organization, not a third-party reconstruction.

The mechanism

Six revolute joints in series give the arm its six degrees of freedom — no mimic joints, no closed kinematic loops, matching FANUC’s own “6-axis” spec sheet exactly. Every link, including the base, carries real declared mass and inertia — this description is fully simulatable, not just visual geometry.

Choosing a variant

Both variants share the identical joint structure — they differ only in reach:

  • LR Mate 200iD — the standard configuration, 717 mm reach and 7 kg payload.
  • LR Mate 200iD/7L — the extended-reach configuration, 911 mm reach, with a longer upper-arm segment than the standard model.

ARMOR links directly to that repository rather than re-hosting anything, and expands the xacro macros itself after downloading — both variants are published as xacro upstream, and what you get is exactly what FANUC publishes, unmodified.
