The CRX-10iA is FANUC’s collaborative robot — a 10 kg-payload 6-axis arm built with force-sensing designed directly into the joints, so it can work directly alongside people without the fencing or light curtains a conventional industrial robot needs. FANUC markets it as an 8-year, maintenance-free design, and it can be floor-, ceiling-, or wall-mounted.
The mechanism
Six revolute joints in series give the arm its six degrees of freedom — no mimic joints, no closed kinematic loops, matching FANUC’s own “6-axis” spec sheet exactly. Every link, including the base, carries real declared mass and inertia — this description is fully simulatable, not just visual geometry.
