EVE is 1X Technologies’ wheeled humanoid — no legs, no bipedal walking: a self-balancing two-wheel base carries an actuated torso column that leans and extends, topped with dual 7-axis arms built for manipulation. It was the company’s original commercial platform, deployed for logistics, security, and retail work before 1X’s focus shifted to its newer bipedal NEO platform; this description remains an accurate record of EVE’s own hardware.

The mechanism

A single hip/knee/ankle column — six joints in series (j_hip_z, j_hip_x, j_hip_y, j_knee_y, j_ankle_y, j_ankle_x) — connects the pelvis down to the wheeled base; this isn’t a pair of legs (there’s no left/right split in the naming, unlike the arms), it’s the single mechanism that lets EVE lean, crouch, and adjust height while balancing on its two independently driven wheels. Above the pelvis, each arm carries seven actuated joints — shoulder (3), elbow (2), wrist (2) — mirrored left and right, plus a single-axis neck. That’s 6 + 2 + 7 + 7 + 1 = 23 actuated degrees of freedom in total, all independently driven; no mimic joints or closed kinematic loops anywhere in this description.

Each wrist carries a qbrobotics QB SoftHand for grasping. Its fingers are modeled as fixed, non-articulated geometry in this particular description — visual completeness, not a functioning kinematic gripper — so they don’t add to the 23 DOF above.

About these files — read before importing

This links directly to halodi-robot-models (eve_r3_description), 1X Technologies’ own repository — published under the company’s earlier name, Halodi Robotics, which rebranded to 1X Technologies in 2023. ARMOR links directly to that repository rather than re-hosting anything, so what you get is exactly what 1X publishes, unmodified. Every body mesh ships as OBJ with a companion .mtl and real albedo/specular textures, not flat-shaded geometry.

The hand meshes are third-party: qbrobotics’ own qbhand description, bundled into this repository (with its own BSD 3-Clause license and attribution intact) rather than authored by 1X/Halodi. See the license panel above for both licenses.
